The Vortex Fluidic Technology has demonstrated effectiveness in converting a range of different oils to biodiesel at room temperature and under continuous flow conditions with no saponification, heating, solvents, or complex catalysts required. This conversion process even works with more difficult oils such as free fatty acids.

For additional information please see the following peer-reviewed scientific papers that demonstrate this conversion process and the subsequent isolation of biodiesel:

·      Rapid high conversion of high free fatty acid feedstock into biodiesel using continuous flow vortex fluidics

·      Continuous flow vortex fluidic production of biodiesel

The necessary architecture and engineering challenges required to scale biodiesel production to industrial volumes are being investigated. We are currently seeking partnerships with biodiesel producers to co-develop a pilot plant and pilot-scale production capability.
